How it started
Born in Madrid, Alex grew up in southern France and began shooting seriously in 2008 after helping a friend with a ski project in the French Alps. He later moved to Quebec for university and photographed the Canadian landscape.

While he was a student, Microsoft licensed a Flickr photo of Andrea, now his wife, for an international campaign. The opportunity helped fund a year of travel and build his portfolio as he shared photographs on Instagram.
Making and teaching
In 2015, Alex and Andrea traveled through Europe for Alternative Living, a photo book that began his long partnership with Canon. He went on to co-found Wildist and leads photography retreats alongside his commercial and personal work.
