How it started.
Born in Venezuela to Ecuadorian parents, Cindy studied business at Endicott College before pursuing theater arts and drama. Acting and television work led to Telemundo Houston, where she anchored morning news briefs and helped develop, produce and anchor the station’s first hour-long morning newscast.
Finding her voice.
Her Telemundo work expanded to Texas correspondent assignments for Al Rojo Vivo and Un Nuevo Día. Radio became another home for her: she co-hosts Mega en tus Mañanas with Gerry and Valentin on Houston’s Mega 101 FM. Viewers can also find her filling in as host on FOX 26’s The Nightcap.
A purpose beyond broadcasting.
Cindy co-founded You Have a Purpose Foundation, which supports survivors of domestic violence through resources, education and community programs. In her 2026 VoyageHouston interview, she described using her media platform to help women and families while balancing work and motherhood.
