1. What Stars are

Stars are a virtual, in-app currency used to back creators and earn Starboost. They are not money, e-money, a security or a financial product. They can’t be withdrawn, redeemed for cash, or exchanged for money or anything of value outside Fangea.

2. Getting Stars

• Buy: choose a pack at checkout. Taxes are added where applicable. Stars land in your balance as soon as payment clears.
• Earn: complete eligible activities for reward Stars.
• Limits: each account can earn up to 5,000 reward Stars per month, and each way to earn has its own monthly limit. Limits reset on the 1st. Bonus Stars and packs may change or end at any time.

3. Purchases are final

All purchases are final and non-refundable, and Stars can’t be refunded, withdrawn or exchanged for money in any form. If a charge was made in error, or you were charged twice, contact us and we’ll fix it.

Consumer rights: Nothing here limits mandatory consumer rights. If you live in the UK, EU or EEA, you normally have a 14-day right to cancel online purchases, but for digital content delivered immediately you give this up when you expressly agree at checkout to immediate delivery.

4. Sending Stars and Starboost

Every Star you send to a creator earns you Starboost, which sets your place in their Top 10, Top 100 or Top 1000. Stars can be sent to creators who have claimed their page or joined Fangea. Once sent, Stars can’t be taken back.

5. Expiry

Stars in your balance don’t expire while your account is active. We may expire reward Stars earned from promotions if the promotion says so clearly when you earn them.

6. Creators and Stars

Creators are not paid in Stars. Stars add social value: they lift a creator up their Fangea Rank and show who their biggest fans are. Any perks a creator offers their top fans are separate from Stars and are provided by the creator.

7. Misuse

We may cancel Stars, reverse Starboost, or suspend accounts involved in fraud, chargeback abuse, bot activity, farming reward limits, or reselling accounts or Stars. If you dispute a payment with your bank without contacting us first, we may remove the related Stars.

8. Closing your account

If you close your account, or we close it for breaking the rules, unused Stars are lost and aren’t refunded, except where the law says otherwise.

9. Changes

We may change pack sizes, prices, earning methods and limits. Changes don’t affect Stars you already hold.
