Mini bio

How it started.

Devin began making stop-motion and music videos with a family VHS camera. Jurassic Park helped spark his interest in filmmaking. As a teenager, he filmed snowboarding, then found he preferred showing other people's talents from behind the camera.

Finding an audience.

While studying film at BYU, Devin made videos with friends using borrowed cameras. An early film of riders launching bikes into a Utah pond found a large audience. Commercial work and wedding shoots followed, and he left university in his final year as the work grew.

Building the worlds he loves.

His films bring athletes and game characters into real locations. Assassin's Creed Unity paired Ronnie Shalvis with the French FreeRun Family in a Ubisoft-sponsored production. Fortnite: The Rise of Pink Panda expanded into a story he co-wrote and co-directed with Zane O'Gwin.

Beyond the main channel.

His production company makes films for brands as well as fans. Team Super Tramp shares filmmaking education and behind-the-scenes videos, while Visual Escape offers scenic films with calming music or nature sounds.
