Mini bio

How it started.

Herman Li and Sam Totman founded DragonForce in London in 1999. Their debut studio album, Valley of the Damned, arrived in 2003, with Li and Totman producing and playing guitars.

The song that travelled.

Inhuman Rampage brought “Through the Fire and Flames” to a wider audience. Its appearance in Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock connected the band with a generation of players. The song earned US platinum certification, while the album went gold.

Music meets games.

DragonForce keep returning to games in their music. They wrote “A Draco Tale” for Brawl Stars’ guitar-playing character Draco, then contributed “Dragon Smash Goblin,” featuring Nekrogoblikon, to Beat Saber OST 8.

A new vocal chapter.

In 2026, Alissa White-Gluz joined as the band’s first frontwoman. Alessio Garavello joined the vocal lineup as Marc Hudson stepped back from recording and touring. The new single “Hunger of the Beast” introduces their self-titled tenth album, announced for March 19, 2027.
