Mini bio

How it started.

Emiru began streaming League of Legends in 2015 while still in high school. In a 2021 SVG interview, they recalled discovering Twitch through Trick2g’s YouTube videos and trying streaming as a hobby. Games and dressing up had both been part of childhood, long before either became work.

Finding a creative voice.

Cosplay became a breakthrough alongside gaming. Emiru told SVG that a Link transformation drew millions of views across social media, despite initial doubts about posting it. In a later Red Bull interview, they explained that a separate cosplay account eventually replaced their original gaming account as the main one.

Building a career.

Cloud9 welcomed Emiru as a streamer and content creator in August 2020. They joined One True King in January 2022 and became a co-owner in January 2023. Their work expanded into variety streams, collaborations and podcasting, including Steak & Eggs with Asmongold and Tectone.

Making room for other cosplayers.

The Emiru Cosplay Contest gives fans a place to share their costumes. The 2025 edition offered $100,000 in prizes and brought guest judges into the stream. In 2026, Emiru told Anime Corner that highlighting the passion of cosplayers and encouraging others to participate were central to the event.
