Mini bio
How it started.
Guitarist Shallum Asher Xavier and keyboardist Imran “Emu” Momina formed Fuzon in Karachi in 2001, with Shafqat Amanat Ali on vocals. Their sound brings classical, Sufi and folk traditions into contemporary pop and rock.
The songs fans came for.
Their debut album Saagar arrived in 2002, with “Aankhon Ke Saagar,” “Khamaj” and “Tere Bina” becoming touchstones of the band’s catalogue. Journey followed in 2008 with vocalist Rameez Mukhtar. The 2015 tribute album Ik Raanjha revisited songs associated with singers including Mehdi Hassan and Ghulam Ali.
A new chapter.
After a hiatus, Emu introduced Wajeeh Uddin Meer as the new vocalist in November 2025. The band’s 2026 videos for “Shehzada” and “Ishq Azaad Hai” carry that chapter forward, with compositions by Imran Momina and direction by Sohail Javed.
