Mini bio

How it started.

Jax started making beats in a London bedroom at 15. Guitar was another route into music: work with N-Dubz and a spell in the band Domino Go came before a career as a dance artist. He told Official Charts that songwriting and production were his original ambitions.

Finding a voice.

“I Got U” with Duke Dumont reached UK Number 1 in 2014. “You Don’t Know Me”, released with RAYE in 2016, gave Jax a hit under his own name. He later told Official Charts that “Breathe” was the song that made him feel listeners recognised him as a consistent hitmaker.

Songs with stories.

The 2019 album Snacks (Supersize) brought his collaborations together. In his Apple Music commentary, Jax described the storytelling behind the club tunes and explained how “You Don’t Know Me” combined house influences with RAYE’s R&B approach. Later releases include “OUT OUT”, “Where Did You Go?” and the Ado collaboration “Stay Gold”, written for BEYBLADE X.
