Mini bio
How it started.
Before Curly Tales, Kamiya reported on business and anchored television news. She wanted to turn her love of travel into a discovery platform, so she bought the Curly Tales domain, renamed her personal Facebook page and headed to South Africa with a selfie stick.
Finding an audience.
Her first-person account identifies a video about Vadodara’s Lakshmi Vilas Palace as the platform’s first viral hit. Food discoveries, travel guides and a growing community of contributors helped the project expand.
Food opens the conversation.
On Sunday Brunch, Kamiya sits down with guests to talk about food, childhood, travel and everyday life. Tere Gully Mein takes that curiosity into local streets and favourite eateries. She has also presented Dharohar Bharat Ki, a two-part Doordarshan documentary about Indian heritage sites and government restoration projects.
Making room for her own dreams.
In her conversation with Rajeev Khandelwal, Kamiya credited her mother-in-law’s support during maternity leave with helping her pursue Curly Tales. She encouraged women to keep space for their own passions.
