Mini bio

How it started.

Kaycee fell in love with dance in a hip-hop class at five. At her mother’s Studio 13 Dance in Simi Valley, she trained in tap, lyrical jazz, ballet and tumbling. Tricia Miranda later choreographed her first hip-hop solo, “Werk,” for the 2013 competition season.

Katy Perry shared “Werk” on Twitter in 2013, bringing Kaycee to a much wider audience. She went on to dance in Meghan Trainor’s “All About That Bass,” perform with Pharrell Williams at the 2014 Oscars and join the 2015 Super Bowl halftime show with Katy Perry and Missy Elliott.

Creating her own work.

Fans also know her partnership with Sean Lew, including their blindfolded “Silence” routine for NBC’s World of Dance in 2018. Her work now includes original choreography, international classes and music videos. In 2026, Jungle’s “The Wave” credited her as both a dancer and associate choreographer.

Beyond the studio.

Kaycee played Avery James in Brat TV’s Sunnyside Up and the lead in Disney’s short How To Catch A Ghost. Her WEIRDO apparel carries her message of individuality and kindness. She has also designed a Nike sneaker and created choreography for Red Velvet.
