Mini bio
How it started.
Born in Buriram, Thailand, Lalisa Manobal auditioned for YG Entertainment at 13. She moved into its trainee system in Seoul, learning Korean alongside music and dance. BLACKPINK’s August 2016 debut brought her to a wider audience as part of the four-member group.
Finding a solo voice.
LALISA arrived in September 2021 with the title track and MONEY. In 2022, LALISA won Best K-pop at the MTV Video Music Awards, making her the first solo K-pop winner there. MONEY later became the first track by a K-pop solo artist to reach one billion Spotify streams.
Building her own next chapter.
Lisa founded LLOUD Co. in 2024 and partnered with RCA Records for her solo music. Alter Ego followed in 2025, exploring five characters across a full-length album. That year also brought her acting debut as Mook in The White Lotus. In 2026, she released the EP PRESS PLAY and became the subject of Sue Kim’s documentary Always Lalisa.
