Mini bio

How it started.

Maisie grew up in Steyning in West Sussex and found an early audience busking in Brighton and sharing original songs on YouTube. In their Oxford Union conversation, they recalled singing Disney covers outside Brighton’s library and being discovered by their manager through YouTube.

Finding an audience.

The independently released Place We Were Made arrived in 2017, followed by an Atlantic Records deal in 2018. Early songs such as Worst of You and Favourite Ex helped introduce the detailed, conversational songwriting that runs through their work.

From songs to full stories.

In 2021, Maisie joined Ed Sheeran’s Gingerbread Man Records and released debut album You Signed Up For This. That year also brought the original soundtrack for the second season of Trying, with guests including James Bay, Griff and Bear’s Den. The Good Witch followed in 2023 and reached Number 1 on the UK albums chart.

The next chapter.

After years of touring, Maisie stepped back at the end of 2024. Much of Florescence took shape in Nashville with Ian Fitchuk, with Maisie taking on album co-production. Released in May 2026, it follows heartbreak toward a steadier kind of love and became another UK Number 1.
