Mini bio
How it started.
Monte is Marcel Eris from Buxtehude. He founded his main YouTube account in 2009 and began sharing gaming videos and Reallife Story episodes in 2013. Those stories brought his life outside the game into the videos, including his experiences with addiction and recovery.
Finding an audience.
Call of Duty, FIFA and Fortnite helped establish his gaming audience. Alongside the games, his Realtalk videos and chats about everyday life became a recurring part of his work. Twitch became his main live stage, while MontanaBlack and SpontanaBlack carried videos and stream highlights.
Putting the story on paper.
With Dennis Sand, he published MontanaBlack: Vom Junkie zum YouTuber in March 2019. The autobiography recounts addiction, homelessness and the path back to a more stable life. Their follow-up, MontanaBlack II: Vom YouTuber zum Millionär, arrived in February 2021 and explored his rise online and the pressures of success.
Beyond the gaming room.
His projects now extend to live events and television. He hosted the prison escape show Get Away! with Steven Gätjen in 2022, co-founded Gönrgy in 2023, and manages the Baller League’s Gönrgy Allstars with Sascha Hellinger. His Christmas gatherings bring fellow creators together for activities and a gift exchange.
