How it started.

Negin began sharing fashion and beauty while studying marketing. Outfit photos brought people to the blog and Instagram, but questions about Negin’s hair helped point toward a different kind of project. In a 2021 Emirates Woman interview, Negin recalled how curious followers became when posts opened up about the family bee garden.

From family recipe to Gisou.

Negin’s father is a beekeeper and Negin’s mother trained as a hairdresser. The honey haircare recipe used at home inspired Gisou’s Honey Infused Hair Oil. Negin launched the brand with Maurits Stibbe in 2015, bringing together beauty content and a family tradition spanning six generations of beekeepers.

Beyond the feed.

Fashion stayed part of the story: in 2019, Negin collaborated with Express on a capsule wardrobe collection. Gisou reached another milestone in August 2020 with its US Sephora debut. By the brand’s tenth anniversary in 2025, the range had expanded beyond the original oil to hair masks, perfumes and lip products.
