Mini bio
How she started.
Subaru debuted on September 16, 2018, as part of hololive’s second generation. Shigure Ui illustrated her character. Her official character setting casts her as the manager of an MMA team and an e-sports club.
The duck that travelled.
Her reach extended beyond her regular viewers through the Shuba Duck meme. A fan animation posted in March 2021 showed Subaru dancing beside a duck in a matching backwards cap. The duck association grew partly from viewers comparing her raspy ASMR voice to a duck.
From streams to songs.
Alongside game playthroughs and chat streams, Subaru records music and performs concerts. With Minato Aqua and Momosuzu Nene, she released NEGI☆U’s four-track debut EP in 2022. Her first solo album, Pleiades, followed in 2025, collecting ten songs from across her activities.
