Mini bio

Chicago roots.

Beverley grew up on Chicago’s West Side and played at Marshall High School before joining Arkansas. His route to the NBA took him abroad first: he began professionally with Dnipro in Ukraine, then played for Olympiacos in Greece and Spartak St. Petersburg in Russia.

Earning his place.

He won the 2011-12 EuroCup MVP award with Spartak before signing with Houston in January 2013. Defense became his calling card in the NBA, with three All-Defensive selections and the league’s inaugural Hustle Award in 2017.

From the court to the microphone.

In 2022, he started The Pat Bev Podcast with Rone at Barstool Sports. His 2026 work includes The Pat Bev Show and Beer & Basketball, where fans join him for conversations about the game. The October 1 episode of The Pat Bev Show marked his final episode with Barstool.

Still playing.

Beverley joined Boulazac in France for the 2026-27 season after playing for PAOK in Greece. Alongside his playing career, his channel gives fans his perspective on NBA news, locker-room stories and life in basketball.
