Mini bio

How it started.

Rachel grew up with music, including church hymns and Christmas carols, and trained in Eastern classical singing with Ustaad Rauf. She began playing underground gigs with her band at 17, then performed in Chicago and Mamma Mia before joining Coke Studio.

Finding her voice.

Coke Studio became a place for both collaboration and featured performances. Rachel named Kee Dam Da Bharosa as her claim-to-fame song in a 2018 interview. Her work also spans jingles, voice-over and improvised theatre.

Behind the harmonies.

On her booking profile, Rachel describes leading Coke Studio’s backing-vocal team in creating and performing parts for more than 200 songs, alongside work on the creative team. Jazz, funk, blues and rock are among the styles she most enjoys singing.

A new chapter in Vancouver.

By August 2023, Rachel had moved to Vancouver and completed a Film, Television and Voice Over diploma course at Vancouver Acting School. She co-created Celebrating All We Are at Vancouver Art Gallery and later sang in Raga Echoes’ July 2025 concert in Surrey.
