Mini bio
How it started.
Ranboo’s first YouTube upload, on August 13, 2020, was a Minecraft SkyWars session that did not go to plan. The description introduced a new creator excited to see what they could make. By November, they had joined the Dream SMP, the collaborative Minecraft roleplay server that helped bring their work to a much larger audience.
From Minecraft to live horror.
Alongside gaming, Ranboo made room for hands-on comedy, including a cake-baking video celebrating one million subscribers in 2021. Generation Loss took their storytelling into live action in May 2023: three live episodes mixed horror, performance and audience participation. The Founder’s Cut followed in June 2024 as an edited version of The Social Experiments.

The Founder’s Game began in November 2024, with Ranboo and Kertoir developing a choose-your-own-adventure story that used collective votes for key decisions. In July 2025, the team announced Generation 2: Oasis and a Patreon intended to fund future projects while keeping the series free to watch. Their August 2026 update said the overall Oasis story was complete and episode planning was still underway.
Community beyond the screen.
Charity has also been part of the community’s story. Charity: water reports that Ranboo and their viewers raised $325,000 in an August 2021 Twitch subathon and committed it to clean-water work.
