Mini bio

Before the channel.

Tanya grew up in an army family, moving homes frequently and attending nine schools. In a personal reflection, Tanya recalled beginning group and solo trips at 19, using savings from a monthly allowance while studying.

Finding a way in.

The first travel vlog followed a solo trip to Pondicherry in 2017. Tanya later described that upload as the beginning of a five-year journey that built confidence, an audience and a career. After working in advertising, Tanya left salaried work in 2018 and headed to Bali with savings. An early tourism-board trip to Taiwan followed.

Building the body of work.

Travel films grew into a mix of local stories, itineraries and practical advice. In a reflection on 2023, Tanya celebrated reaching one million YouTube subscribers and producing and appearing in a music video. That project, Safar Anjaana, pairs travel memories with vocals by Simran Choudhary and credits Tanya and Eshan Joshi as co-producers.

Recent films explore Lepcha life in Dzongu, the emotions of Varanasi and a self-drive journey through Tanzania. Tanya’s channel describes its mission as protecting and showcasing the world through storytelling, exploration and education. The work also extends to speaking and moderating travel-industry conversations.
