Mini bio

How it started.

Stephanie Kim makes videos as Tressuni, drawing on growing up Korean-American and moving between two cultures. Famous Birthdays dates her first YouTube posts to September 2020. The introduction to her 2023 Koller Commentary appearance describes a move from working in tech to creating content about Korean culture.

Food and family.

Her cooking videos make room for family recipes and the people behind them. In September 2024 she compared Nara Smith’s kimchi with a family version blending her mother-in-law’s and grandmother’s recipes. By this research date, that video had passed 550,000 views. In February 2025 she made North Korean dumplings for her grandmother, then shared her grandmother’s version too.

Beyond the feed.

Her TrovaTrip host page introduced a South Korea group trip scheduled for April 17–23, 2024, built around food, culture and history. In May 2025 she shared seven lessons from creating content, including practicing writing and speaking and making work sustainably.

A new chapter.

In February 2026 she shared a video about pregnancy after infertility. Later that year, her posts followed life with her baby, Korean postpartum cooking and family travel in Korea, including a celebration of her baby’s first 100 days.
