Mini bio

How it started.

AJ grew up in Ladbroke Grove with music close by: his mother was a jungle DJ and his father a rapper. Online and pirate radio appearances in 2015 helped him reach grime listeners, while The Front and Alex Moran introduced his own projects.

Finding a wider audience.

“Thiago Silva” paired him with Dave on a grime track. “Butterflies” with Not3s brought a wider breakthrough in 2018, followed by his self-titled debut album in 2019 and its garage track “Ladbroke Grove”. His first two studio albums both reached the UK top three.

Room to explore.

Flu Game followed in 2021, drawing on Michael Jordan and basketball culture. On 2025’s Don’t Die Before You’re Dead, AJ opened up about family and resilience while making room for guests including Jorja Smith and Master Peace. Outside music, he joined cousin Big Zuu for the food and travel series Rich Flavours.
