Mini bio

How it started.

Before Slaughter to Prevail, Alex sang in smaller bands and posted vocal covers on YouTube. Guitarist Jack Simmons saw his videos and contacted him on Facebook. They began making music together and founded the band in 2014.

The breakthrough.

Early releases included the 2015 EP Chapters of Misery and the 2017 album Misery Sermon. “Demolisher”, released in 2020, became a signature track, followed by the album Kostolom in 2021.

Beyond the band.

Alex keeps posting vocal covers alongside Slaughter to Prevail releases. His guest appearance on Falling in Reverse’s “Ronald” paired him with Tech N9ne in 2024, and the band joined BABYMETAL for “Song 3” in 2025.

The face behind the mask.

Alex designed his first Kid of Darkness mask while working at a gym making protein shakes. He cites Slipknot and Spawn as inspirations. The masks became part of the band’s stage identity and his own merchandise.

Public scrutiny.

His past tattoo choices and associations have drawn criticism. In September 2026, Alex acknowledged choosing a Black Sun tattoo, accepted responsibility for that choice and denied being a Nazi.
