Mini bio

How it started.

Anthem Lights grew out of a solo project for Chad Graham, with Alan Powell helping write the music. When they decided the songs needed more voices, their Liberty University contacts led them to Caleb Grimm and Kyle Kupecky. The group first recorded as Yellow Cavalier before adopting the Anthem Lights name.

Finding their audience.

Their self-titled debut arrived in 2011, and early touring put them alongside artists including MercyMe, Steven Curtis Chapman, and Natalie Grant. In a 2026 interview, Grimm recalled turning to YouTube pop covers after their label dropped them in 2012. Those videos reached millions of viewers within weeks and opened a different path for the band.

The music fans return to.

Their catalog moves between original songs, pop medleys, and Christian music. “Love You Like the Movies,” their Greatest Showman medley, Hymns, and The Wedding Album show that range. Their 2024 album Wings contains ten tracks, followed by a cappella worship releases and the Brooke collaboration “Golden” in 2025.

Beyond the recordings.

The lineup of Caleb Grimm, Chad Graham, Joey Stamper, and Spencer Kane also became animated characters in A Show About Anthem Lights, which premiered on Pure Flix in January 2022. In 2026, Grimm said the band was still active while its members also worked on projects of their own.
