Mini bio

How it started.

Zack’s channel grew out of World of Warcraft and the friends he played with. In a 2016 interview, he recalled getting into the game in summer 2006 after a friend spotted it on his bookshelf. Before Twitch became his main stage, he made Warcraft videos and guides on YouTube.

The Classic breakout.

WoW Classic brought his streams to a much wider audience in 2019. StreamElements ranked Asmongold first among individual Twitch streamers by hours watched in the third quarter. His later videos include a long account of his Wrath of the Lich King years and his first journey into Final Fantasy XIV.

Building with friends.

In October 2020, he unveiled One True King with Mizkif, Esfand, Rich Campbell and Tips Out. He later stepped back from leadership after his October 2024 remarks about Palestinians, a Twitch suspension and public apologies. He subsequently announced that he had separated from OTK.

What fans watch now.

His current videos range from long gaming sessions to reactions about internet culture and current events. Asmongold TV turns those streams into uploads, with CatDany and Daily Dose of Asmongold credited as channel editors. In 2026, the channel covered game showcases, Path of Exile 2, WoW Forever and Phantom Blade Zero.
