Mini bio
How it started.
Before making videos full time, Raúl worked at a printing company for nine years. He opened AuronPlay in 2006 and built an audience with humorous video criticism, reactions and prank calls. In a 2016 interview with Europa Press, he said his first steps on YouTube came out of boredom, and that even his first 50 views surprised him.
From uploads to live worlds.
He began streaming on Twitch in September 2019, mixing gaming with Just Chatting. Fans also know him through collaborative Minecraft worlds such as TortillaLand and the Squid Craft Games events he organized with Rubius and Komanche.
Beyond the stream.
His books take the humour in different directions: De lo peor, lo mejor offers comic advice, AuronPlay, el libro looks back at his life and YouTube beginnings, and El juego del Hater turns a YouTuber’s prank call into a thriller. In 2024, Minecraft Extremo and Squid Craft Games 2 both won ESLAND awards.
