Mini bio
How it started.
Keem began experimenting with music at thirteen. With money borrowed from his grandmother, he bought recording equipment on Craigslist and learned in a makeshift bedroom studio. He later taught himself to produce beats and emailed his early music to bloggers.
Finding an audience.
The 2019 mixtape DIE FOR MY BITCH brought his restless production and vocal shifts to a wider audience through “Orange Soda.” Kendrick Lamar and Dave Free helped guide the project. His debut studio album, The Melodic Blue, followed in September 2021 and entered the Billboard 200 at No. 5.
Building his own world.
“Family Ties,” with Kendrick Lamar, won Best Rap Performance at the 2022 Grammys. Keem followed with collaborations including “The Hillbillies.” In 2026, he released Ca$ino and the Booman documentaries, then took the album on a headline tour.
