Mini bio
How it started.
Bad Omens formed in Richmond, Virginia, in 2015 around Noah Sebastian’s songs. Early demos attracted Sumerian Records, and their self-titled debut followed in 2016, recorded with producer Will Putney.
Finding their sound.
Finding God Before God Finds Me arrived in 2019. On 2022’s The Death of Peace of Mind, the band brought electronic sounds and melodic songwriting further into their heavy music. In interviews, Noah and Jolly describe a creative partnership built on passing ideas back and forth.
The breakout.
Just Pretend helped bring the band to a wider audience and became their first RIAA Platinum-certified track. Its official video credits Noah Sebastian and Joakim Karlsson as the song’s writers and producers, with Noah also writing the video’s story.
Building beyond the albums.
Their 2024 release Concrete Jungle [The OST] extended the world of The Death of Peace of Mind. V.A.N, their collaboration with Poppy, put her voice at the center of the song. Their next run of singles included Specter, Impose, Dying To Love and Left For Good in 2025.
