Mini bio
How it started.
Nicolás Muñoz grew up in Bergen in a musical family. In his Cortex interview, he recalled learning from a father and brother who played several instruments. He later studied music at boarding school, where he learned piano, began making music and met his bandmates, as he told Notion. The boy pablo project began in 2015, followed by the first single, “Flowers,” in January 2016.

“Everytime” found a worldwide audience in 2017 as YouTube recommendations brought new listeners to its video. Roy Pablo introduced songs including “Everytime” and “Dance, Baby!”; the follow-up EP Soy Pablo included “Feeling Lonely,” “Sick Feeling” and “Losing You.”
Building Wachito’s world.
For the 2020 debut album Wachito Rico, Nicolás brought his brother and brother-in-law into the songwriting and production. The record follows a young character’s love life, mixing fiction with personal experience. In Notion, Nicolás described watching Wes Anderson films, Napoleon Dynamite and Nacho Libre while developing the character and visual story.

There are also newer contributions to other artists’ records: in 2025, his brother bob junior credited him with drums and piano on “eu te amo bebê,” and the credits for friends, vol. 2 name Nicolás as a writer on “Dolido Corazón.”
