Mini bio
How it started.
Bury Tomorrow formed in Southampton in 2006. Their first EP, The Sleep of the Innocents, followed in 2007, and debut album Portraits arrived in 2009. Early touring took them out with bands including While She Sleeps, Asking Alexandria and Of Mice & Men.
Finding their audience.
The Union of Crowns followed through Nuclear Blast in 2012. Runes became a turning point in 2014: it topped the UK Rock & Metal Albums Chart and reached Number 34 on the main albums chart. Cannibal took them into the UK Top 10 for the first time in 2020, with Dani Winter-Bates writing openly about his mental health.
Choosing to carry on.
After co-founder Jason Cameron’s departure in 2021, the band considered stopping. Instead, guitarist Ed Hartwell and keyboardist and clean vocalist Tom Prendergast joined, and The Seventh Sun arrived in 2023. Their 2025 follow-up, Will You Haunt Me, With That Same Patience, was produced by Carl Bown and explored anxiety, division and the search for connection.
A new chapter.
In July 2026, Bury Tomorrow launched their own independent imprint, DEA†H RECORDS, with the single Sx. That followed their 2025 Heavy Music Award for Best UK Live Artist and a May 2026 announcement of their biggest UK headline tour yet.
