Mini bio
How it started.
Before the records and theater shows, Charley learned to hold a crowd on the street. The San Benito native busked in New Orleans, Dallas and New York City, developing the sound he calls Gulf & Western. His first album, A Stolen Jewel, arrived in 2015.
Finding an audience.
His audience grew through steady recording and touring. In 2021 he won Emerging Act of the Year at the Americana Honors & Awards. The Man from Waco followed in 2022, and $10 Cowboy earned a Grammy nomination for Best Americana Album in 2025.
The next chapters.

He then recorded Clovis at Norman Petty Studios in New Mexico with Jennings and the Blue Drifters. It returned to streaming through Atlantic Outpost in July 2026.
