Mini bio

How it started.

A friend named Poom, also known as Mitch, encouraged Brett to put his gameplay online so friends could watch. In a Red Bull interview, he recalled starting in 2012, when streaming still felt like a new experiment. His YouTube channel followed in January 2013.

Finding his game.

He streamed The War Z, H1Z1 and PUBG before Fortnite brought a much larger audience. His long-range sniping became a signature, alongside commentary and a stream that often let the gameplay fill the screen without a facecam. He joined TSM as a streamer in 2018.

Building a lasting channel.

In 2020, dakotaz signed a multi-year exclusive deal with Twitch. His work includes edited Fortnite highlights as well as long live sessions. Recent broadcasts have paired Fortnite with WoW Forever beta play.
