Mini bio
How it started.
Dan launched the channel now called DanTDM on 14 July 2012 as TheDiamondMinecart. His brother introduced him to Minecraft, and he made his earliest Minecraft videos while studying at university and working part time in a supermarket. Once the channel could support him, he made videos full time.
Finding his world.
Minecraft mods and stories became the centre of his work, with Dr Trayaurus among his familiar characters. His 2014 video “How I Met Dr Trayaurus” tells their fictional origin story. By 2016, Guinness World Records recognised his channel for the most views on a dedicated Minecraft video channel.
Beyond the screen.
His graphic novel Trayaurus and the Enchanted Crystal arrived in October 2016, turning his characters into a book adventure. DanTDM on Tour also became a DVD and Blu-ray release in 2017. More recently, he has shared his Minecraft Movie cameo, created the track Villager Lullaby and brought game soundtracks to radio through Next Level with DanTDM.
