Mini bio
How it started.
FINNEAS grew up in Los Angeles with actor-musician parents. A songwriting class with their mother at age 12 helped get things moving, and they became the lead singer and songwriter of the Slightlys. A song written for that band, “Ocean Eyes,” found its voice with younger sister Billie Eilish and an audience on SoundCloud.
Finding a solo voice.
Alongside the partnership with Eilish, FINNEAS began releasing solo music with “New Girl” in 2016. Blood Harmony followed in 2019, then the debut album Optimist in 2021. For Cryin’ Out Loud! arrived in 2024, made with friends in live studio sessions.
More people in the room.
The Favors brought FINNEAS and longtime collaborator Ashe together for a full album, The Dream, in 2025. Screen composition has become another part of the work, including the original score for BEEF season two in 2026.
