Mini bio

How it started.

Jens Fehlau began posting maths videos in 2017. One of his earliest uploads explains the improper integral of 1/(x⁴+1) from zero to infinity in German, and its description links to an English version. The channel grew into a mix of worked problems, proofs, physics lessons and jokes about learning maths.

Maths with a mischievous streak.

His short “How REAL Men Solve Equations” turns the simple equation 8x = 1 into an excuse to misuse the quadratic formula. Released in December 2020, it has passed 11 million views. That same year, he teamed up with Tom Rocks Maths for “Maths Exams Be Like…”.

Making things together.

In mid-2020, Jens and fellow YouTuber Zach Star came up with STEMerch, a shop for science-themed designs and products. At Christmas that year, Jens organised “A Story often told”, a charity singing collaboration featuring creators including 3Blue1Brown and Veritasium. Its accompanying album credits Stefan Perko and Johann Beurich for the song and instrumentals.

A change of pace.

After sharing more maths and physics lessons in early 2026, Jens posted “Thank you for everything.” in May. Wikitubia records it as his announcement that he was stepping away from maths videos. An August upload, “Making Soda from Scratch”, took the channel into water-kefir fermentation.
