Mini bio
Early days.
Gelo’s main YouTube channel was created in February 2015. By 2021, his short Minecraft videos were reaching an audience beyond Argentina: he placed ninth in YouTube’s year-end Top Shorts Creators list for Peru, as reported by RPP.
Inside Minecraft.
His work explores the game through facts, unusual builds and experiments. He also makes Minecraft stories: his 2022 video about the End describes its invented history as a blend of the game and real-world history.
From videos to a book.
Montena published Gelo Sobrevive al desafío imposible in April 2023. The adventure follows Gelo and his friend Gólem as they try to stop El Coleccionista, with Minecraft survival tricks woven into the story.
Two places to watch.
Alongside his main channel, Gelo links fans to his second channel, SoyGelo, at @Gelo2MC. Both channels’ video descriptions point to the same social accounts and book.
