Mini bio

How it started.

Before singing became his livelihood, Hassan painted. He told ARY that he drew with coal and chalk as a schoolboy, later learned painting professionally and earned money from it. Evening visits to a music academy led to performing opportunities. A well-received song at a mehndi celebration brought more invitations.

The song fans kept.

His first single, “Imran Khan is a Superman,” came out in 1982. “Hawa Hawa” followed in 1987 and made him widely known in Pakistan and India. “Hato Bacho” and “Shadi Na Karna Yaro” are other songs associated with his rise.

New company, familiar music.

In 2018 he joined Gul Panrra on Coke Studio for a version of “Hawa Hawa” driven by Balochi Lewa percussion. He returned to the song with producer Ali Mustafa for “Hawa Hawa 2.0” in 2024. His newer releases include “Piyar Di Gaddi Dhak Dhak Chaldi” in 2025.
