Mini bio
How it started.
Johnny Stevens and twin brothers Rich and Ryan Meyer formed Highly Suspect in 2009. They shared a house on Cape Cod, jammed in the basement, and began playing covers in local clubs. After regular bar gigs, they moved to New York; BMI dates their move to 2011.
The songs that opened doors.
In Brooklyn, they worked with producer Joel Hamilton and signed with 300 Entertainment. Their 2015 label debut, Mister Asylum, and its single “Lydia” earned Grammy nominations for Best Rock Album and Best Rock Song. The Boy Who Died Wolf followed in 2016, with “My Name Is Human” reaching No. 1 on Billboard’s Mainstream Rock chart and earning another Best Rock Song nomination.
Room to experiment.
MCID arrived in 2019 with collaborations involving Young Thug and Gojira. The Midnight Demon Club followed in 2022, then As Above, So Below in July 2024. By 2026, the band were releasing standalone singles including “Yellow Roses,” “Wasted,” and “Big Shop of Horrors.”
