Mini bio
How it started.
Seán William McLoughlin is an Irish creator known online as Jacksepticeye. He began uploading in December 2012, moving from voice impressions into gaming commentary. A PewDiePie shout-out brought early attention in 2013, but Seán has said 2016 brought the biggest surge of his career.
Beyond the playthroughs.
His channel grew to include comedy, celebrity interviews and candid conversations about mental health. He also co-founded clothing brand Cloak in 2018 and launched Top of the Mornin coffee in June 2020. His 2022 documentary How Did We Get Here? follows his story through his comedy tour.
Characters and community.
ALTRVERSE brings characters created for his channel into comics published by Bad Egg. Voice acting has become another part of his work, including Punch Up in Dispatch and Finn Colton in Hitman. Through Thankmas, he invites fans and fellow creators to fundraise together; its 2026 campaign supports Make-A-Wish.
