Mini bio
How it started.
Before television, Jenna taught elementary school in Washington, D.C., starting in 2005. Her UNICEF internship took her through Latin America and the Caribbean in 2006 and 2007. That experience led to Ana’s Story: A Journey of Hope, about a teenage mother living with HIV.

Jenna joined TODAY in 2009 as a contributing correspondent covering human-interest stories. In 2019, she became Hoda Kotb’s fourth-hour co-host and founded Read With Jenna. Since January 2026, she has co-hosted TODAY with Jenna & Sheinelle alongside Sheinelle Jones.

Her writing includes Sisters First, a memoir written with her twin sister Barbara, and picture books created with Barbara and their mother, Laura Bush. Everything Beautiful in Its Time gathers essays about her grandparents and the lessons they left her.
Making room for more voices.
Jenna founded Thousand Voices in 2022 and announced its publishing partnership with Random House Publishing Group in January 2025. The venture works across genres and focuses on debut and emerging writers. Her newsletter gives readers a closer look at the books and the people making them.
