Mini bio

How it started.

Raised in Florida, Josh played guitar, bass and drums before learning to make rap beats and rap at an arts high school. In a 2019 Rock|Life interview, Josh described leaving college after one semester to pursue music full time.

Finding a collaborator.

Josh discovered Jake Hill through the song 38 to the Face on YouTube and reached out. Their first track together, Nuketown, led to Better off Dead. Josh told Rock|Life that the partnership helped them leave their jobs and tour the US and UK. The pair also described working independently, trading beats, vocals and ideas online.

Songs to sit with.

Josh told Rock|Life that messages from fans inspired Suicidal Thoughts, a song intended to help listeners feel less alone. Solo releases also became a place to work through difficult experiences: SPIN connected Disgrace and You’re Not Alone with Josh’s experiences of addiction and touring.

Building a world.

Fearless II brought a concept-album approach, with different versions of Josh, skits and stories connecting the main catalog to Lil Revive. Later releases include The Return in 2024 and the rock album Fighting The Devil in 2025, alongside the Lil Revive album Fetch Me Their Souls.
