How it started.
Before the videos, there was music. Germán formed a band with his brother as a teenager. Encouraged by a friend, he started posting comedy on HolaSoyGerman in September 2011. Friends shared the clips, viewers asked for more, and a weekly habit took shape.
The familiar things.
School, friends and awkward everyday situations became the material for his fast-moving monologues. By August 2013, BBC Mundo reported that HolaSoyGerman had nearly ten million subscribers. Los Hermanos is one of the comedy videos from that period.
From sketches to games.
He launched JuegaGerman in 2013 and stopped posting to HolaSoyGerman in 2016 to focus on gaming. Minecraft, Fortnite and horror games became part of his work. His newer uploads mix playthroughs, reactions and collaborations, including videos with Fernanfloo.
Beyond the screen.
Germán also sings in Ancud, the band he formed with his brother, and has written two books. #ChupaElPerro brings together personal advice and humor; Di hola is a novel about loss and learning to move forward. In 2026, he told The Clinic that mornings belong to YouTube and afternoons to music.
