How it started.
Keara grew up dancing with her brother, who taught her Soulja Boy routines. After returning to her hometown in Ohio, she took tumbling and competitive dance classes. She later trained in lyrical, hip-hop, pom and jazz.
The dance that travelled.
In March 2020, she created choreography for Megan Thee Stallion’s “Savage.” She wanted to try something different from the dances she kept seeing on TikTok. When Megan shared her work, Keara was overwhelmed to see her own moves reaching so many people.
Recognition for the creator.
Logitech and JaQuel Knight included Keara in their 2021 initiative to help choreographers secure copyright protection. TikTok named her an Originator on its first Discover List that year. In 2022, she won the second episode of NBC’s Dancing with Myself.
Life with Keke today.
On YouTube, Keara also introduces herself as Keara Leech, a wife and mother of two. Her videos mix family life with fitness, including beginner dance cardio and home workouts. In her workout descriptions, she says she wants to help women build confidence and consistency through movement.
