Mini bio
How it started.
Kyle studied engineering and science communication at Marquette University. While finishing university, he realized that getting people excited about discovery appealed to him more than doing research himself.
Finding his audience.
A 2013 Scientific American piece analyzing Serenity drew attention from Nathan Fillion and helped Kyle find his niche in science and pop culture. He became Nerdist’s science editor, and Because Science premiered in October 2014 with an episode about how the Flash perceives time.
Inside the Facility.
After hosting Because Science from 2014 to 2020, Kyle built his own venture, [THE FACILITY]. His work now includes nuclear reporting, science fiction explainers and challenges to science misinformation. He also brings science education into gaming through BASILISK.
