Mini bio
How it started.
Lauren grew up in Northern New South Wales and taught themself photography. In a 2018 interview, they traced their Instagram start to encouragement from their twin sister and a first proper camera bought for a trip through the USA and Canada. More travel followed, then a move to Cairns, where spare time went into exploring the Great Barrier Reef and nearby waterfalls.
Turning pictures into a career.
A local tourism board offered the first job. Lauren began making travel images for brands and destinations, later meeting fellow photographer Jack Morris on a tourism assignment in Fiji. Their travel photography and shared Lightroom presets became part of the Gypsea Lust story.
A life built around creating.
Today Lauren is based in Bali and shares travel, fashion and family experiences. Alongside that work, they co-founded Tone Studio, an app for editing photographs and videos. Their agency also describes a boutique hotel project in development.
