Mini bio
How it started.
Lauren saved for travel while studying physics and working retail jobs. She started Never Ending Footsteps before leaving England in July 2011 for what was meant to be a year abroad.
Finding her voice.
Writing honestly about mishaps helped her build an audience and turn the blog into a business. Her 2015 memoir, How Not to Travel the World: Adventures of a Disaster-Prone Backpacker, follows an anxious beginner through scams, accidents, and an expanding comfort zone.
Where to find her now.
Melbourne is her home base between trips. Her website focuses on practical advice, while her Substack newsletter carries the personal stories and glimpses behind the scenes.
