Mini bio
How it started.
Before gaming became a career, Lannan worked in the family construction business and filmed slow-motion demolition videos. After losing recording equipment to theft, they started the LazarBeam channel in 2015. Early Madden NFL challenges helped them find an audience by playing a familiar game in unexpected ways.
Finding their style.
In a 2017 Tubefilter interview, Lannan described finding viewers through unusual game ideas and sharing them on Reddit. They had already passed a million subscribers, and said most commentary came from whatever popped into their head. Fortnite then brought a much larger audience in 2018.
From the screen to the game.
Epic Games announced a LazarBeam Icon Series set in March 2021, complete with workwear, a sledgehammer and a meat-pie emote. Lannan told The AU Review that the design honoured their old construction job. That year also brought a cameo in Free Guy alongside other gaming creators.
What fans find now.
Recent uploads move between Fortnite challenges, Roblox experiments and a Minecraft advancement marathon. Collaborations also take Lannan into the Sidemen’s Among Us lobby.
