Mini bio
How it started.
Lisa’s fascination began with a box of her mother’s 1960s makeup at her grandparents’ house. A stage makeup book given to her at 13 helped her see it as a career. She studied makeup design in Liverpool, then moved to London at 17, working on makeup counters while taking an evening fashion makeup course.
The first big booking.
Assisting Mary Greenwell at London and Paris shows led to agency representation. When Greenwell was unavailable for Cindy Crawford, Lisa got the booking. Her work grew into fashion editorials, celebrity makeup and character design, including Eva Green’s looks for Dumbo.
Sharing the craft.
Her official biography dates the start of her YouTube tutorials to 2010. Alongside practical lessons, she explores the history of cosmetics through Face Paint and her BBC Two series Makeup: A Glamorous History. Her own makeup line began with three red velvet lipsticks, inspired by a shoot where she put fabric on a model’s lips.
