How it started.

Mark’s YouTube channel dates to August 2008. Fans may also remember the name UKpiano. Last.fm’s listener-written biography describes a self-taught pianist who learns both by ear and from written scores.

Finding an audience.

Film scores, game themes and pop songs run through Mark’s piano catalog. Early performances include the Game of Thrones main title and Two Steps From Hell’s Heart of Courage in 2011, followed by Linkin Park’s Numb in 2012. Numb has passed eight million views on the official channel.

Beyond the channel.

Mark also publishes piano arrangements through Musicnotes and releases recordings, including the two-part Interstellar: Piano Suite single in 2015. At MCM London Comic Con, the games-stage organizers featured Mark in 2013 and brought them back in 2014 for a set of video game themes.

A cover fans returned to.

In July 2017, Classic FM featured Mark’s Numb and In the End performances in an article remembering Chester Bennington. The Numb video itself was uploaded in 2012.
