Mini bio

How it started.

Charlie began the penguinz0 channel in 2007, uploading game glitches and gameplay commentary. The early videos put the games on screen and let the voice do the work. The December 2010 QWOP video became an early signature, earning attention for the frustrated, dry narration.

Finding the format.

The channel expanded into internet commentary, reactions and reviews. Fans can find long gaming sessions alongside shorter takes on online culture, while the Moist Meter series reviews films and games. The Oppenheimer episode credits Charlie and Jackson as its reviewers.

Making things with friends.

With Troy McKubre, Charlie makes rock music as the Gentle Men. Their album The Evolution of Tears credits both members as songwriters. Comics became another outlet: Charlie co-created Godslap and helped launch publisher Bad Egg with Warren James and Mana Talent Group.

From games to new projects.

Charlie founded Moist Esports in 2021 and became a Shopify Rebellion co-owner with Ludwig in January 2025. Voice work includes Sonar in Dispatch. In 2026, Charlie’s Meatier Productions partnered with Lyrical Animation on the Godslap film and an early-stage RuneScape animated series.
