Mini bio

How it started.

Before the name Muni Long, fans knew Priscilla Renea through YouTube. One early video turned dictionary words into a song. That online audience helped lead to a Capitol Records deal and the 2009 album Jukebox.

The songwriter years.

Renea built a career writing for other artists, with credits including Rihanna’s “California King Bed,” Fifth Harmony’s “Worth It” and Ariana Grande’s “imagine.” After years behind the scenes, Muni Long became the name for a fresh solo chapter in 2020.

A song that connected.

“Hrs & Hrs” began with a beat found on YouTube while Muni was washing dishes. The love song became a viral breakout and won Best R&B Performance at the 2023 Grammys. “Made for Me” brought another signature ballad, and its live BET recording won the same award in 2025.

Putting life into the music.

The 2024 album Revenge brings relationship stories into focus across 14 tracks. Muni described the record to Apple Music as a way to share personal growth, with songs including “30s,” “Superpowers” and “Make Me Forget.”
